AP: A federal judge ruled that Virginia’s ban on same-sex marriage is unconstitutional late on Thursday.
The decision makes Virginia the second state in the South to have a ban on same-sex marriage overturned, following similar rulings in Kentucky, Utah and Oklahoma.
U.S. District Judge Arenda L. Wright Allen stayed her decision until an appeals court rules, meaning same-sex couples will not be able to immediately marry.
